Could you give more background on this horse?
ReplyDeleteI bought him from a cabin mate from camp this past year, August 2013, and I wanted to know if he has any background.
Like worth, new, and used, etc.
I named him Sir Gareth of Idlewild...named at a Bristol Renn. Faire knight...
He was produced by the Breyer Molding Company from 1965-1988. The example above is circa 1986. Breyer also made this horse in other colors, but this is the most common. In mint condition, he currently books out to about $40 in my insurance guide, but I bet he could be found for less than that. He's pretty common, and he doesn't really hit collector's hot buttons (sadly, most of the older Breyers don't anymore) hence the numbers. You might want to try the Identify Your Breyer website for any more information.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info on your website. I purchased "Jumping Horse #300 - Stonewall" in 2000 from a quaint tack shop in Rhode Island. Now able to identify this piece from your info provided. Thanks for the detail and the pictures.
